Merry Christmas

“Merry Christmas” was a project I made using Adobe Illustrator. I had to make a card and cut it out using a digital cutting machine. I decided to make a Christmas card because it was close to Christmas, and I had thought of a good idea. I chose to write the words “Merry Christmas” but make all of it in the shape of a tree. I started out by manipulating all the letters to fit in the shape of the tree I wanted. I then made just the tree for the back and attached them. I then used the machine to cut out all the empty parts of the letters. To make the letters stand out more I decided to take a piece of green paper and put it onto he back part.

Once I had my card done it was time to make an envelope for my card. I chose to make a very basic envelope because I did not want it to take away from the card. I chose the color yellow to resemble the star that goes on top of the tree.
