Love Yourself

“Love Yourself” is a poster I created in Illustrator. I created this for a class. We were told to use all the terms of typography. I chose the phrase “Love yourself first and everything else falls into line.” I chose this because it is a good phrase to live by and it also has many letters, so I was able to put all the terms.

I started out with the words and put them on the lines. I put three different fonts to see examples of a script, serif, and san serif. I then made the part of each term into a different color and made the term itself the same color. Lastly, I put the border around the whole thing. I did this, I thought it looked too simple and needed something more. I made it opaque because I did not want it to take away from the words too much.
